CONSTANCE BAKER MOTLEY PATRON Named in honor of the first African American female federal judge, the National Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition provides law students with a platform to develop their oral advocacy skills, improve their legal research & writing ability, & enhance their knowledge of substantive & procedural law. Patrons will be contributing to the administration of the National Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition, which includes securing a problem writer, courtrooms, food, awards & general supplies. The Patron's logo will be displayed on competition materials & signage. They will be invited to present the awards to the winning teams at the AJ Cooper Legacy Award Gala. THURGOOD MARSHALL PATRON Since its inception in 1975, the National Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition has been the cornerstone of NBLSA programming, offering high caliber competition to showcase oral advocacy & brief writing talents among law students nationwide. Patrons will be contributing to the administration of the National Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition, which includes securing a problem writer, brief publishing, courtrooms, food, awards, & general supplies. The Patron's logo will be displayed on competition materials & signage. They will be invited to present the awards to the winning teams at the AJ Cooper Legacy Award Gala. NELSON MANDELA PATRON Named in honor of the courageous South African Civil Rights Activist, the National Nelson Mandela International Negotiations Competition was created to provide NBLSA members with a realistic exposure to alternative dispute resolution. Patrons will be contributing to the administration of the National Nelson Mandela International Negotiations Competition, which includes securing a problem writer, courtrooms, food, awards, & general supplies. The Patron's logo will be displayed on competition materials & signage. They will be invited to present the awards to the winning teams at the AJ Cooper Legacy Award Gala.
